The crossing to Udelnaya is not closed. January 21st, 2018

Despite the construction of the Poklonnogorsk overpass, which is located just a kilometer north. I recently made a post.
Today I filmed the Allegro passing through Udelnaya. Quite an entertaining picture.

In fact, red for pedestrians, as well as for transport, is turned on a full 10 minutes before the passage of a high-speed train. Of course, no one will stand that long and everyone goes literally to the last. There are no physical obstacles for pedestrians.
And 15 meters to the right there is an underground passage, which only a few people use. The transition has ramps, of course.

The video of the Allegro passage came out quite impressive. Look, don't be lazy.
The role of the last obstacle is performed by the crossing duty officer, with her loud cry of “we’re standing.” It's funny.

2. Skobelevsky Avenue. It is he who crosses the railway at Udelnaya.
For now, all minibuses and buses continue to pass through this crossing. But traffic does not yet travel along the new overpass.

3. The pedestrian path at the crossing is not closed, despite the fact that an expensive underground passage has been built.

7. Quote from Wikimapia:
"The construction of a pedestrian tunnel under the railway tracks began in 2015 and was associated with the operation of high-speed trains “Allegro” (St. Petersburg - Helsinki) on this section. During the work, the eastern platform was partially dismantled, and the shopping pavilion and three stalls were also demolished.
According to the project of Lengrazhdanproekt OJSC, a two-meter high tunnel, 22 meters long and 6 meters wide, was built, including gentle slopes. The opening took place on December 30, 2016."

12. Residential complex "Northern Crown" on the western side of Udelnaya. The treatment and rehabilitation complex is visible. There is some kind of federal medical center there.

15. Residential buildings on Fermskoye Highway.

16. I offer you photographs from Udelny Park, which was full of people today.
The winter weather was good in St. Petersburg and there were a lot of people who wanted to go for a walk.

17. The park was founded almost 200 years ago. During the Union it had a name - Chelyuskintsev.
One of the oldest parks in the city, it was very popular before the revolution.

30. The eastern part of Udelny Park is crossed by the main passage of the St. Petersburg - Helsinki railway. It was built across the park at the end of the 19th century.

The first victim of the Allegro high-speed train, which travels twice a day from St. Petersburg to Helsinki and back, was a moose. This was last year. Last week, on Wednesday evening, a Russian-Finnish train caused the death of two people. True, eyewitnesses claim that the young people killed themselves: they went out in front of Allegro onto the railway tracks near the Udelnaya station, which were closed to cars and pedestrians.

TO Online812 correspondent went to Udelnaya to understand what has changed in the organization of the Allegro movement after the tragedy.

. "Allegro" was coming from Helsinki and was late - according to the schedule, it should have already been at the station. “Those guys were coming from Bystroezhka,” said an eyewitness - a seller of inflatable cheesecakes. “Only one was drunk, he was hanging on his friend and only moving his legs while he was being led. You see, he was blocking his friend’s view to the left, right from the side of the train. If I had leaned on the other shoulder, both would have survived.”

The impact carried both bodies forward about twenty meters, towards the semaphore support. Death came instantly. Those passers-by who saw the guys before the tragedy claim that the “presenter” was in the player, which is why he did not hear the whistle. Although, in fact, the whistle of the approaching Allegro can be heard even in the metro, from the middle of the escalator.
Bright posters warning pedestrians about the dangers of new high-speed trains appeared on this route in the fall.

Initially, immediately after the launch of Allegro, railway employees stood on both sidewalks in orange vests, arms outstretched, and did not allow people to get on the rails shortly before the train passed. Then they stopped doing this. They didn’t do it even after the death of two people.

“We already have a lot of work to do,” explained a railway employee, sweeping snow off the rails before the express arrived. “If we still catch everyone drunk on the road... It is much more important that there is no car on the tracks.” His replacement explained that now there was no point in stopping passers-by at all: everyone was scared by that accident.
In general, motorists are worse off than pedestrians - they have to wait twenty minutes for the Allegro passage. According to the schedule, the train to Helsinki departs from Finland Station at 15.25. The crossing to Udelnaya was closed at 15.14, and opened only at 15.34. “Allegro” appeared at the crossing at 15.31. One of the passers-by rushed to cross him and successfully ran across. Then a snow cloud rose - according to official data, the train passes this section at a speed of 120 km/h. True, “Allegro” from Helsinki, which had been here an hour earlier, was traveling much slower.

Oktyabrskaya Railway promises to build a pedestrian tunnel in Udelnaya, this will take 2-3 years. In addition to this tunnel, Russian Railways plans include the reconstruction of two existing bridges and the construction of nine new ones in the villages of Pesochnoye, Dibuny, Solnechnoye, Gorkovskoye, Beloostrov, Roshchino, Kanneljärvi and Luzhaika. Three road overpasses: at the 29th, 66th and 75th kilometers (Dibuny, Roshchino, Kanneljärvi) will also be built at the expense of Russian Railways. The program was drawn up for 2012 - 2013, the estimate has not yet been determined. It is still unknown what this tunnel on Udelnaya will look like - there is no project yet .
