What is your English level?

At some juncture during your journey towards your aims in a foreign language, you must have familiarized yourself with the concept of language levels. However, most of the language enthusiasts outside the academic milieu (i.e. those bereft of the benefit of having a degree in a foreign language) seem to be content with having an intuitive understanding of what those levels represent and thus seldom bother to delve deeper into the framework whereby their linguistic skills can be quantitatively evaluated.

When you take an English test, you get a score. Often you will also get some indication of what the score means, expressed as an English level or a label such as “beginner” or “pre-intermediate”. The purpose of the presentation is to clarify what such levels represent, how the universally accepted framework of reference (CEFR) has come about, and the most common English exams you may take in order to check and verify the level of your linguistic abilities.

Advanced Table Topics

Having been given a card with a topic, you are welcome to share your thoughts on the subject, however uncanny it might appear. Go ahead, show your loquaciousness, and don’t be afraid of sharing your thoughts and arguments you’ve conjured up, regardless of their absurdity or feasibility! Remember, though, that time is running out!
